Sonny Crumpton   co-founder and CEO

As the Canyon’s Fresh Grill welcomes new franchisees to the family, Sonny will determine market appropriateness, site selection, and aid the build out, location launch, and oversight of ongoing operations. 

Mark Crumpton   co-founder and president

  • Co-founder of Canyon’s Fresh Grill

  • Mark brings more than 35 years experience in the technology field

  • 60+ years in retail customer-based businesses to guide the organization

  • He enjoys sharing his experience in sales, marketing, branding, and technology

  • Previous franchise partner in the fast casual restaurant concept Planet Smoothie

  • As a native of Warner Robins, GA, Mark and his father opened ten retail shoe stores across Georgia

  • Passionate about continuing the tradition of a family owned and locally operated business

  • Mark has a passion for food, football, outdoor activities; he loves his family and community

 

As the Canyon’s Fresh Grill welcomes new franchisees to the family, Mark will guide unit growth and expansion strategies.

Greg Gonzalez   director of operations

  • 25+ years in the food service industry

  • Previous experience as manager and kitchen manager for California Dreaming in Kennesaw, GA

  • Has held roles such as restaurant manager, server trainer, crew trainer, store opener, and more, during his tenure at fast paced restaurants including Olive Garden, Mancino’s, Uncle Bud’s, and McDonald’s

  • ServSafe certified for food and beverage safety from the National Restaurant Association

Carson Hatch   vice president of development

  • University of West Georgia Graduate

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management / Focus in Strategic Business Management

  • Experience in account managing, commercial construction manufacturing, customer service, and serving

  • Passion for exceeding customer expectations and providing a unique and memorable dining experience

  • Carson has moved fluidly into the role of welcoming guest into Canyons Fresh Grill and making sure they can’t wait to come back

Kelly Crumpton   social media & marketing manager

  • University of West Georgia Graduate

  • Public Relations and Marketing Major

  • Experience in event planning, project managing, marketing, and graphic design

  • Specializes in growing social media platforms, creating graphics for advertising, and building a cohesive brand

  • Passion for food and keeping our menu relative and exciting for customers 

  • Her mission is to create an atmosphere and online image that makes customers become Canyons regulars

Nick Shelton   director of systems

Nick’s role as director of operations with Canyons Fresh Grill is to develop and implement procedures, policies and ensure high standards for the brand. He is committed to the Canyons Fresh Grill culture, as he understands its value in the equation for success.  Prior to joining the franchise team, he spent four years with the Sedgwick Restaurant Group as GM of Aspens Signature Steaks, overseeing all aspects of operations.  Nick helps new franchisees in onboarding the dining room operations, specifically with training of front of house managers. 

Ben Milam   kitchen chef

In his role as kitchen chef, Ben is responsible for the day to day, back of house operations for Canyons Fresh Grill, including scheduling, budgeting and training. During his twenty years of kitchen and restaurant experience he has worked in short order kitchens and diners, country clubs, and fine dining establishments. Ben provides kitchen manager training, instructing food quality safety standards, new product development and onsite evaluations for Canyons Fresh Grill corporate locations; he will do the same for new franchisees.
